Badin Lake

We had a great holiday weekend with the Cross family at Badin Lake.  Staley and Addison are about a year apart and too cute!  I've got a ton of pictures so they will come across in stages:

I know I'm his mom so I'm biased but this kid has the best features - great eyelashes, hair, and lips.  Why do the men get all the easy stuff?

Mother's Day

My Mother's Day was beautiful - a great card, a wonderful jog with perfect weather AND a stop by the fire department to meet the fire chief.  Ha!

Barrett's Birthday

Yesterday was Barrett's actual birthday (party to follow in a few weekends).  When his parents told him they were going to dinner with just him - he looked a little disappointed and asked why his friends couldn't come. After a flurry of text messages to friends... a few of us met up for burgers.  It was the cutest 2 1/2-3 year old sight.  They all hugged and told each other - "thanks for inviting me" "great to see you" and "thanks for coming to the party." It was one of those moments where you want to take a mental picture so that you never forget how sweet they can be.  This is the only decent picture I've got:
