Running Hard or Hardly Running

Someone had such a great time out today that after potty, while reading a book, he fell asleep.  How cute is this picture from Amy?

Adventures out with Amy

Amy took the boys to the bull city craft store today. How cute!

Building a spaceship

My parents gave Staley this really cool rocket ship that I brought over to Owen's house today.  The boys helped put it together, colored/decorated it, and played inside it all day long.  Here are some pictures of the size of this thing (it's not small), the inside, and both boys pretending to be the pilot.

Working on his swing

Yesterday, Luke and I got the rare opportunity to pick up Staley early from his time with Owen and Amy.  Instead of an early pick up, we stayed and watched the boys play baseball.  Isn't it adorable?

Meeting the Cousins

Staley got a chance to meet some of his super cool older cousins this weekend.  He was OVER THE MOON.  We've talked a lot about them since our too short visit.

Friends weekend

Staley had a great weekend full of fun friends.  Here are some pictures of his dinner and movie with Collins.

Boys Bathroom Update

This weekend, while Staley was napping, I made this shower curtain for his bathroom.  It's not perfect but it works.  Here's to hoping my sewing gets better.

Evening play

I'm not sure why I love this picture but it reminds me of how much I enjoy evening playtime.

Morning Work

This week, while getting ready in the morning, Staley has asked to do some work (aka.  play games on sesamestreet.org).  This picture reminds me so much of Luke Bumm.

Big boy bed

This weekend, we had a new mattress and box spring delivered for Staley's room.  We really had no intentions of him sleeping in the bed but got it set up "for the day" that he wanted to sleep in one.  He is absolutely refusing to sleep anywhere else.  This is another bittersweet moment for us - glad he's growing up, sad that we can't keep him in the crib for a while longer....

Growing up

Staley got his first haircut this weekend.  A part of me is really sad that my baby is gone.... A part of me can't believe we waited this long.  Hoping his curls come back :)  He and I attended a service at Duke Chapel on Sunday morning - here he is in his Sunday best!

Duke Bowl Game

Staley was so excited about going to the bowl game that he totally missed his nap.  He was really great but told us that he was "all done with the football game" at the end of the first quarter.  We made it almost to the end of the first half before we took a rickshaw home to the hotel.  All and all, it was lots of fun.

Learning Tower Love

Santa aka. Queen Bee and Jaybird got Staley this AWESOME learning tower.  He has eaten exactly one meal outside this thing since we got it.  Best gift ever.  He thinks he's part of the action.

Hung by the Windows with Care...

Luke put up some new window treatments in our house over the weekend.  Feast your eyes on the dining room and guest bedroom.

Christmas

Christmas was a blast this year.  Staley asked for an orange basketball and he was adorable when he got it and a basketball hoop.  Here's a short video of his spoils.
