Giving Back
This year, Amy took the boys to pick out a few presents for kids on the Duke Pediatric hall. They boys made cards and today, they delivered their gifts with Barrett (Barrett's mom is a physician at Duke). Here are some pictures from the day- Christie brought rice crispie treats and hot chocolate for all.
Is there anything cuter?
Is there really anything cuter than Christmas pjs? Maybe Christmas pjs coupled with a snuggle from Dad right before bed.

Play day with Barrett
The boys had a friend play with them all day today - Barrett. His daycare was out today and so he joined the boys for a day around the holidays. I got this picture from Amy today of them all making PB&J sandwiches (pretend). How cute!
Christmas with Nonnie and PopPop
Last night we had our first family meal in the dining room and then opened a few presents from my side of the family. Staley got a very realistic tool bench and a set of golf clubs from the grandparents. This picture makes me laugh b/c he's saying to me: "That's a really big driver." Hide your valuables - this kid has clubs!

Luminaries and Resar Girls
The holidays are full of exciting activities. Our neighborhood had a luminary night last night and invited over the Resars and Danielle and Jay for dinner to enjoy all. Staley loved having big kids around. Here's a picture from the night. After this shot, Danielle and Jay made hot chocolate and we all went out to search for the luminaries. Super cute.

That's all folks
The last picture from Staley's birthday. Would I ever do something this big again? Probably not- but it was worth it!
Curious George Party Time
Staley's had a blast at his birthday. I'm going to just post a few of my favorites... Be warned, there are alot.
Charlie Brown Xmas
This week has been super fun with Advent Calendars, the elf on the shelf (Jingle), and all the other fun things that come with the holidays. Luke loves Charlie Brown's Christmas and we own the DVD. On Tuesday night we told Staley that we had a special surprise - to get it, we must put our PJs on right when we get home. Jingle brought Staley chocolate milk to have with dinner and then, after dinner, we all snuggled up to watch Charlie Brown's Christmas. Staley loved it! Please ignore the mess in the picture - what I love is the excitement Luke had with getting to share his beloved movie with Staley!
Santa Train
And some photos from quiet possibly my favorite event of the season, the Santa Train. It's full of children's magic and wonder.
Santa Train - Dinner First
The Peterman-Herveys and the Bumms decided to make the Santa Train adventure an afternoon event. We started out by arriving for a pizza dinner at Lillys. Staley's outfit is adorable and the funny part of the story is that Owen, Luke, and Aaron all showed up wearing red plaid shirts too!
Let's Go Duke!
Staley went to his first basketball game at Cameron this year and loved it. He talks about the tuba player (quiet the character this year), the blue devil, and dribbling a basketball. He's asked Santa to bring him an orange basketball too!
