Museum of Life and Science

Among the things we LOVE about Durham is the Museum of Life and Science being right in our backyard. Staley goes almost weekly.. Here are a couple of pictures from his day:

Cow Parade

There is a cool fundraiser going on where local artist paint cows and they are placed all over the triangle. Then, I think, in January, there's an auction for the Children's hospital and you can purchase these cows. Before all the cows are placed there is a "cow parade" where you can go and view each cow all in one place. We took Staley this weekend and really enjoyed it. Staley kept saying, "I like that one. That's my favorite."

Staley has started reading to Abby in the morning... It's so adorable!

Mac and Cheese

We are not super big fans of processed foods so, it makes me laugh even harder that the once in a blue moon time that we give Staley Mac and Cheese - He eats it with reckless abandon.

Watching the big kids

Owen's big request on his birthday was to go to the "big park." Amy packed the boys a snack and off they went. This is a picture of them watching the big kids play basketball. This picture really makes me realize how much they are growing up. Adorable!

Cake!

Owen's birthday was yesterday and the boys have been celebrating all week long. Staley has been singing (sounds more like he's rapping) "Happy Birthday to Owen" during the car ride home every day. He starts chanting it and then asks "now Daddy do! Now Mommy do!" Owen - I hope others celebrate my birthday the same way! Staley really enjoyed the icing on the cupcakes...

Night with the Sherlins

We had dinner at the Sherlin's house last night. They have the sweetest kids - there was a dance party, pjs (Austin offered to share some with Staley), and even banana pudding! It was an awesome night with the "big kids."

Hair No More

I was honored to meet my friend Danielle after work at Posh. Danielle's sister-in-law past away last year and in an effort to honor Tamara's memory, Danielle decided to donate her hair. It was really a cool experience and one that I know Tamara would be proud of! Way to go Danielle!

Biden Coming to Town

Did you hear that the VP, Biden was in town today? For most of us, thinking of someone like that being in town just means traffic delays. It's entirely different as an almost 2 year old. Amy took the boys to the observation deck today and they got to watch airforce 1 land and all the detail crew. Amy said that they were literally jumping up and down with excitement. Made my day too!

Last night we went over to Susan and Mikey's house to bring dinner and get some QT time with their newest addition, Blair. While mommy and daddy spent time holding baby, Staley had a terrific time with the "big girls." Here are some adorable shots of them reading to Staley.
