Birthday

We had a great/relaxing weekend. Staley and I attended a 1 year old birthday party for a neighbor on Sunday afternoon. When we showed up Staley pointed to all of the decorations and started chanting "birthday birthday birthday." I was shocked - I don't even think I told him that it was a birthday party! Really cool.

McDonalds or It was going to happen sometime

I've been really adamant about Staley getting organic food whenever possible. My family and I have really changed the way we eat at home and out. However today, my parents had Staley and I got this photograph. I must say that I cringed when I got it. Then, I took a step back and realized - It's ok to be spoiled by Nonnie and Pop Pop. Once a year won't kill him. Letting go is a good thing. I'm working on it :)

We ended the night at the Duke Basketball game. Although we didn't win - it was a lot of fun!

What a difference a Year can make

The Shark Drop

Ocean Isle Beach has a pretty cool tradition for young families of having the shark drop twice - once at 7pm and once at 12am. I bet you can guess which we were in attendance for! It was very special!

NYE 2011

Our New Years tradition has always been to head down to the beach. This year was extra special because it was Nonnie's 60th birthday! We had a fabulous time - 70 degrees on the beach and Staley loves the sand. Here's a picture of the fam. Looking forward to 2012.
