Office Shower

Wow! I am LARGE and in CHARGE! That was my first thought when I looked at these pictures.

My second thought... what great co-workers I've got! A couple of weeks ago, Luke and I were overwhelmed with gratitude because the Duke Donor Relations Staff gave us a wonderful shower. Here are some pictures from the day.

Note, Kelly bought Luke a special daddy outfit... His expression is so cute!

Worker "B"

Luke has spent every minute building some really cool cabinetry in the laundry room. He should be almost finished by the end of the weekend and I'll have some pictures to post. Stay tuned :)

Volunteered out

The next couple of days will be full of MS Society and Coach Buehler events. I haven't stayed up past 9pm in a long time. I'm sure, with Luke's help, it'll be a lot of fun. Hopefully, I'll remember my camera too. Note to self, if I get pregnant again, do not volunteer for anything this late in the game :)

Pretty Girl

Courtney showed up to my parent's house early (for her) on Saturday morning to take some pictures of Abby. Here's a link to her blog where she highlighted our little lady. I love the pictures and Abby loved all the treats!

Ladies who lunch

Some of my dear friends from after college all met at the Weathervane at A Southern Season for lunch on Saturday. They came bearing gifts too! It was so wonderful to see all of them -- some drove from as far away as Asheville! You may notice another pregnant girl in the picture, Julie, -- she's due about a week before me... I bet she goes early. I can't wait for the Jackson and Jacob Staley to get to play together! A special thanks to Karen for getting us all together!

Saturday Football -- boys will be boys

Luke's good friends from Law School, Jay and Andrew, came in town for the Duke/Alabama Game. They started out the day at the golf course at the Washington Duke Inn, then walked over for a blow out game (darn), in the evening I came home to this sight. I'm pretty sure they were doing the same thing in Law School on any given fall Saturday night.... Watching football and having a drink. Boys will be boys!

Thanks Craig!

We got a great deal off craigslist on a glider and ottoman for the nursery. Here's a sneak peak at it-

Moving on up

We were so excited to have Katy and Dennis Phillips over last night. They brought over the window treatments for the nursery. It was so exciting to see them up and to start to envision what the room will look like once it's completed. Here's a sneak peak. Please excuse the bookshelves, we haven't arranged them yet.

Thanks again to the Phillips for a really cool looking nursery!

Couple Time

This past weekend some of our oldest dearest friends helped host a couple shower for us and baby Bumm. Grandma and Grandpa Bumm came in town and stayed with us too! It was a fun time getting to hang out with Amy and Craig -- Here are some additional pictures from the time.

Humbled

Last night was the first time all summer I've really thought much of wearing jeans. I was planning on wearing them for a shower this weekend. Well, was I in for a surprise of a lifetime. Not a single pair of maternity jeans fit at all! With 8 weeks left, it seems a little crazy to buy anything else so, I'm just a bit humbled by the appearance of my new friend.... back fat!

Lake Weekend

Last weekend we got a chance to spend some time with Luke's oldest friend, Seth. He and his wife, Steph, invited us up to their lake house at Badin Lake. It was wonderful to see everyone and the time out on the water was perfect.

Luke stayed up late but I couldn't make it much past bedtime. Here are some pictures from the weekend -- I wish I had one of Seth and Steph but they were the one's taking pictures.

Busy Busy Bees

I'm not sure how this happened but September is a very busy month. This weekend we take off to the lake to spend time with Seth and Steph. Luke ran for the first time in a long time and admitted that it was because we were going to be spending swimming suit time with the two most in shape people we know. Oh well! I just hope the boat can counterbalance the extra weight from me :)

Hoping that our camera works this weekend. We really enjoy seeing old friends.
